DMCA & copyright policy

How to send us a takedown notice, and what happens when you do.

Last updated: 13 September 2026

Our position

tivo8k does not host, store, upload, record or produce any media content. We do not operate the origin servers for the streams that pass through the service and we do not control their contents. We respect the rights of copyright holders and we act on valid notices.

Sending a notice

If you own, or are authorised to act for the owner of, a copyright that you believe is being infringed through this service, send a notice to dmca@tivo8k.store. To let us act quickly, please include all of the following:

  • A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorised to act on their behalf.
  • Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
  • Identification of the specific material — the exact channel name, stream identifier or URL — precise enough for us to locate it. A general statement that "your service carries our channels" is not actionable.
  • Your contact details: name, address, telephone number and email address.
  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are authorised to act on the owner's behalf.

What we do next

Valid, complete notices are reviewed promptly — normally within 48 hours. Where the material identified is within our control, access to it is removed or disabled. Where it is not, we forward the notice to the upstream provider responsible and tell you that we have done so.

Counter-notices

If you believe material was removed in error or as a result of misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to the same address, including your contact details, identification of the removed material and its previous location, and a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the removal was a mistake.

Repeat infringers

Accounts and upstream sources that are the subject of repeated valid notices are terminated.

Misuse of this process

Filing a knowingly false notice carries legal consequences under the DMCA and equivalent legislation elsewhere. Notices are logged.

Not affiliated

tivo8k is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to TiVo Inc., any broadcaster, any rights holder, or the developers of any third-party player application. See the disclaimer for the full statement.
